H. P. Lovecraft vs. H. P. Hatecraft

Alright, as most of you know, based on what I usually post about… I am a fan of H. P. Lovecraft. My initial love for his work came from watching the 1980’s film adaptations of the Re-Animator series and From Beyond. Those films were great. From there I stumbled upon the Cthuhlu mythos and the Book of the Dead. Great stories and concepts that have good reason to outlive the author. Anyway, I guess it was this love that made the particular episode of Scooby-Doo so awesome. In the new show on episode 12 of season 1 we are presented with a possible suspect to the mystery. His name is H. P. Hatecraft and his voice actor just so happens to be Jeffery Combs, the actor that played in all of the above mentioned movies as a lead character. How crazy is that? This episode of Scooby-Doo went the extra mile and had Cthulhu as the monster. But he wasn’t called that… he was called Char Gar. I haven’t gotten this far yet, but he apparently appears in episode 25 as well.
Can’t wait… going to be a good one.
